Ryszard Kajzer
Biography:
- born in 1973
- graphic artist, poster designer and illustrator
- studied at the Warsaw Academy's Deparment of Graphic Art, graduading from prof. Lech Majewski studio, 1994-1999; also studied at the Schule fur Gestaltun in St. Gallen, Switzerland, 1997
- since 1999 taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw; assistant to Professor Mieczyslaw Wasilewski in the Poster Design Studio, (1997-1999) and than Professor Lech Majewski Studio (2000-2006)
- he held an internship at the Internationales Kunstlerhous Villa Concordia in Bamberg, Germany, 1993-1994
- since 2006 he teaches Lettering and Typography at the Warsaw Academy
- he runs "Zerkaj Studio"
- major awards: An Award for the best diploma in Graphic Design under professor Lech Majewski in Warsaw's School of Fine Arts (1999). A distinction at Kraków's 2nd International Poster Festival (2000). Jozef Mroszczak's Honourary Prize during the 18th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw (2002). Honourary Prize during the Polish Poster Biennale in Katowice (2003). Main Prize in the international competition for a poster promoting the year of Gombrowicz; A. Stareyshinski's Award for young designer at the International Poster Triennial in Sofia, Award at the 19th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw in the event dedicated to the memory of Witold Gombrowicz (2004). Silver Medal at the 19th Polish Poster Biennale in Katowice (2005).
Honourary distinction in the category of The New Chopin at the 22nd International Poster Biennale (2010).
